Steps to Becoming a Volunteer
Apply -- Complete the application form below.
Interview -- Meet with the volunteer coordinator to discuss your interests and to learn more about volunteer opportunites.
Orientation -- Attend a one-hour orientation that includes a school tour and classroom visits.
Training -- Complete a 2-3 hour online tutor training provided by the Minnesota Literacy Council.
Classroom Visit -- Visit a classroom for the entire period, interact with learners and then discuss your experience with the volunteer coordinator.
