Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering!    

We look forward to telling you about options M-F, morning, WTh afternoon, and M-Th evening.

Volunteers are asked to come once a week, for 1-3 hours, depending on the class.

The volunteer coordinator will give you description of classes that fit your interests and schedule. 

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
 

STEPS TO BECOMING A VOLUNTEER

Apply -- Complete the application form below. [Due to a temporary technology need, please find the application form 
by clicking/holding on the Volunteers tab and choosing Application Form just below it.]

Interview -- Meet with the volunteer coordinator to discuss your interests and skills, and our volunteer needs.

Attend Orientation -- Attend a one-hour orientation.

Train -- Complete a 2-3 hour online tutor training, provided

Visit a Classroom -- Visit a classroom for the entire period. Let the volunteer coordinator know how your experience was. If you and the teacher decide to work together, a schedule will be arranged.

Volunteer -- Volunteer once a week for 3 months or 30 hours. Service learners participate 20 hours or more, depending on their requirements.
