Engaging Adult Learners in Science: This 2.5 hour self-paced, free online course offered by LINCS addresses many of the science topics of interest to teachers preparing for the 2014 GED test, including the scientific method, the scientific practices, scientific literacy, links to science-related nonfiction texts, and example classroom activities.
Scientific Practices in Context: This 3 hour self-paced, free online course offered by LINCS provides guidance on where to find credible science resources and an introduction to teaching science in context. Additionally it reviews the teaching and learning cycle, focusing on curriculum design, including lesson planning and development within the context of an adult education science unit.
